Optional actions may include visiting a participating author's website, book page, retailer book page, social-media profile, or other author- or book-related destination designated by that participant.
Unless expressly stated otherwise on the Giveaway entry page, an entrant is not required to purchase a book or other product, make a payment, post public content, tag another person, send an unsolicited message, or create an account with a third-party service in order to receive an optional additional entry.
Visiting or completing an optional link action does not itself subscribe an entrant to an additional mailing list beyond the newsletter subscriptions expressly disclosed in these Official Rules.
Entrants are not required to complete any optional additional-entry action to participate in the Giveaway.
Failure to complete optional actions does not invalidate an entrant's initial eligible entry.

Communications sent by one participant are separate from communications sent by other participants.
An entrant may unsubscribe from any participant's mailing list at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in that participant's emails.
Unsubscribing from one participant does not automatically unsubscribe the entrant from the mailing lists of other participants.
Each participant is independently responsible for processing unsubscribe requests applicable to their own mailing list and complying with applicable email-marketing laws and service-provider requirements.
Unsubscribing from any or all participating mailing lists after entering will not invalidate an otherwise eligible Giveaway entry and will not affect an entrant's eligibility to win.

Sponsor is not responsible for temporary outages, interruptions, errors, failures, acts, omissions, or security incidents attributable to third-party services and outside Sponsor's reasonable control.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits responsibility or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Thorned Heart Press, participating authors/newsletters, and their respective representatives, agents, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising directly from participation in the Giveaway or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize.
Nothing in these Official Rules excludes or limits any right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected, unsuccessful, or incorrectly submitted entries resulting from circumstances outside Sponsor's reasonable control.
