The “Jeff Buick Thriller + Short Story Giveaway” (“Sweepstakes”) begins on December 16, 2025 at 9:00 AM (MT) and ends on January 7, 2026 at 11:45 PM (MT) (“Promotion Period”).
This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
The sponsor of this Sweepstakes is Novel Words Inc. (“Sponsor”). By entering, each entrant agrees to comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor is responsible for administration of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor may be reached at read@jeffbuick.com during the Promotion Period.
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to legal residents of Canada and the USA who are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). Employees, officers, representatives, and immediate household family members of Sponsor are not eligible. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited.
HOW TO ENTER:

Entries submitted through bots, automation, fraudulent methods, multiple accounts, or sweepstakes services are void. Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeper.
WINNER SELECTION:
Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received throughout the Promotion Period. Drawing will take place within 10 days after the Promotion Period.
WINNER NOTIFICATION:
Winner will be notified by email within 7 days of drawing. Winner must claim the prize by email within 7 days or the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Sponsor is not responsible for notification failures.
PRIZE:
One (1) winner will receive:
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $45 USD.
No prize transfer or substitution permitted except at Sponsor’s discretion.

Personal data collected during the Sweepstakes is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy and may be used for marketing or future promotional communications by Sponsor.

By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Novel Words Inc. and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability arising from participation or prize use.
DISPUTES:
Sweepstakes governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from this Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually and without class action. Under no circumstances may punitive or consequential damages be sought.
