OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Eligibility: The “Boredom Busters Sweepstakes” (the “Promotion”) is only open to those legal residents of the forty-eight continental United States or the District of Columbia (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) entering the Promotion from within the United States using a residential address (non P.O. Box) who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Affiliates, licensees, subsidiaries, employees, officers and directors of the Sponsor and their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, siblings), regardless of where they live, and members of their household are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. By participating in the Promotion entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
2. Agreement to Rules: By participating in the Promotion, the participant (“You”) agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules of the Promotion (hereinafter, the “Rules”), as well as any rules, terms or conditions of KingSumo, a third-party vendor of Toys “R” Us who is assisting in the administration of the Promotion. You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements contained herein. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Toys“R”Us as final and binding as it relates to this Promotion.
3. Promotion Period: The Promotion begins on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time ("ET") (the "Giveaway Start Date") and ends on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 11:59 AM ET (the "Giveaway End Date"). The designated computer timer of Toys“R”Us is the official time clock. The period from the Giveaway Start Date through the Giveaway End Date is referred to as the "Giveaway Period.” There will be a total of one (1) winner drawing on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 11:59 AM ET during the Giveaway Period.
4. How to Enter: To enter visit www.toysrus.com/geoffreyshottoys (the “Website”), then fully complete and submit the entry form to be automatically entered into the Promotion. When doing so, the Website will give you the option to (1) follow Toys“R”Us’s official Instagram account; (2) like Toys“R”Us’s official Facebook account; and/or (3) following Toys“R”Us’s official Twitter account. For each such action taken with respect to Instagram, Facebook and/or Twitter, the Participant will receive a bonus entry which for avoidance of doubt means that the maximum number of entries for ay participant is four (4) which is calculated based on the one initial entry plus up to three (3) additional entries based upon following and/or liking each of the aforementioned social media sites. All entrants must have a valid email address. Different entrants may not share the same email address. Entries that are incomplete, corrupted, false, lost, late, misdirected, deceptive, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules may be disqualified from the Promotion at Sponsor’s sole and exclusive discretion. In the event of a dispute regarding the identify of any winning individual that cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected entry will be deemed ineligible.
5. How to Win; Prizes: One winner of the Promotion will be randomly selected from all entrants at the conclusion of the Giveaway Period (“Winner”). The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The Winner will receive a prize package comprised of one or more toy products to be selected by Toys“R”Us in its sole discretion. The Winner’s prize will have an approximate retail value of $450.00 USD. The prize is/are non-transferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including, without limitation, any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the Winner(s). No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Toys“R”Us to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for marketing and promotional purposes, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
6. Winner Selection and Notification: Potential Winner will be selected by a random drawing from all eligible entries at the conclusion of the Giveaway Period and will be notified by e-mail no later than five (5) business days after the Giveaway Period (each, an “Announcement Date”). The Winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release (“Declaration”), which must be received by Sponsor within seven (7) calendar days in order to claim the prize(s). If a potential Winner fails to respond to the e-mail notification from us or fails to sign and return the Declaration within the required time period, the potential Winner will forfeit the prize(s) and it/they may be awarded to the next eligible entrant, provided that subsequent entrant responds to our e-mail notification, and signs and returns the Declaration in a timely manner. Toys“R”Us shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. Receipt by Winner of the prize offered in this Promotion is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE RULES BY WINNER (AT OUR SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE PROMOTION, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
The Prize winner will be announced during a Facebook Live Event taking place on March 24, 2022 at 1 p.m. EST. Prize(s) shall be sent directly to the winner’s physical address provided on the entry form. Sponsor will pay for standard ground shipping to a valid address within the continental United States or District of Columbia. Sponsor is not responsible for any lost, late, stolen, undelivered, inaccurate, incomplete, misdirected, malfunctioning, unusable, or damaged Prize.
7. Rights Granted by You: By entering your information on the Website (i.e., first name, last name, city, state, and e-mail address), You understand and agree that Toys“R”Us, anyone acting on behalf of Toys“R”Us, and Toys“R”Us’, their subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Promotion, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
8. Terms & Conditions: Toys“R”Us reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Toys“R”Us’ control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Promotion. In such case, we may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Toys“R”Us. Toys“R”Us reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or website or violates these Rules. Toys“R”Us has the right, in our sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Promotion, to void votes and/or Promotion entries for any reason, including, but not limited to, the following: (i) multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; (ii) multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by the Rules; or (iii) the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage the Website (or any related website) or undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such attempt be made, Toys“R”Us reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Liability Limitations: Sponsor assumes no liability or responsibility for (a) lost, late, stolen, undelivered, inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misdirected, damaged or garbled entries; (b) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information or faulty or failed electronic data transmissions; (c) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction, or alteration of the entries at any point during this Promotion; (d) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion or defect with regard to any equipment systems, communication networks, computers, servers used in connection with this Promotion; (e) inaccessibility or unavailability of the Internet or Sponsor’s Website; (f) any other printing, typographical, human, or technical error; or (g) any injury or damage sustained to person or property in connection with participation in this Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Promotion in whole or in part at any time during the Promotion Period. If terminated, Sponsor will award Prizes from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to the time of such action.
10. Disputes: These Rules are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without giving effect to the principles of choice or conflicts of laws thereof. As a condition of participating in this Promotion, You agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively in any state court located in Morris County, New Jersey, or any federal court located in Essex County, New Jersey, which is empowered to enforce these Rules and the terms and conditions herein, and waive any objection thereto on the basis of personal jurisdiction or venue, and irrevocably and unconditionally waive any right such party may have to a trial by jury in respect of any litigation directly or indirectly arising out of or relating to the Promotion. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall You be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering this Promotion). You further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
11. Privacy Policy: Any information submitted with an entry into the Promotion is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on the official Toys“R”Us website. To read the Privacy Policy, click here. By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to abide by the terms outlined in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and acknowledge the information received as a result of entry participation will be used to communicate commercial offers and advertisements to the entrant. When required for fulfillment of a Prize, entrant’s name and shipping information will be provided to the third-party fulfilling such prize.

Any content, views, opinions and/or responses to questions uploaded, expressed or submitted by the creators, sponsors, advertisers or users on social media platforms, including on web pages, message boards and groups or otherwise communicated through it, other than the content provided by Toys“R”Us, are solely the views, opinions and responsibility of the person submitting them and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Toys“R”Us. We are not responsible for content that third-parties publish, post, upload, distribute, disseminate or otherwise transmit through social media platforms. Toys“R”Us does not condone any form of harassment, written attacks, insults, vulgarity or indecency whether perpetrated in writing or the transmission of images. IN NO EVENT SHALL TOYS“R”US BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER RESULTING FROM LOSS OF USE, DATA OR PROFITS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE AVAILABILITY, USE OR PERFORMANCE OF ANY INFORMATION COMMUNICATED ON OUR ACCOUNTS.
