The Firm Pad offers more instability than the Half Physiopad or the Hard Pad. Firms allow horses to explore a larger range of weight shifts. When lateral movement is added, this Pad begins to yield to the horse's hoof in a side-to-side manner. The Firm Pad is the next challenge level in the SURE FOOT Program after the Half Physiopad and Hard Pad. That is, horses that are comfortable with the Half Physio and Hard may progress to Firm.
